Booking Technician II


DUTIES
Perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to, FCIC/NCIC checks, processing appropriate paperwork from law enforcement personnel on all incoming arrests, verify documents from corrections personnel before releasing inmates, assist in court related issues, send and answer teletypes, enter arrest information via data entry, determine bond amounts, inform victims of inmate release, maintain files, respond to inquiries from the general public and perform other related duties deemed necessary by the bureau commander.

STARTING SALARY
Salary range upon hire: $40,518 - $48,838 (determined by acceptable prior related experience)
$44,570 - $53,722 (based on 12-hour shifts/2184 hours annually)
Additional $1500 per year for midnight shift differential
Long-term salary cap: $ 63,398
$69,738 (based on 12-hour shifts/2184 hours annually)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of computer and office equipment required to perform the position tasks.
  • Efficient in time management skills relating to daily work activities, tasks, and special assignments.
  • Ability to work shifts which will include evening, weekend and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, demonstrating an awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
