Administrative Media Specialist


DUTIES
The administrative media specialist will engage in a variety of secretarial and administrative tasks to support the community affairs office. This includes answering community affairs office phone, ordering office supplies and event giveaways, assisting with public records and media requests, managing and scheduling appointments for special events, news conferences, etc., assisting with obtaining vendor quotes for special events or projects, assisting with managing social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, etc.), sorting and distributing incoming mail, inputting requisitions for invoices, processing travel vouchers, composing correspondence and assisting with other related document and budget preparation. Performs other work assignments as directed.

STARTING SALARY
Salary range upon hire:  $41,913 - $49,913 (determined by acceptable prior related experience).
Long-term salary cap:  $63, 913.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Associates degree in related field.
  • Minimum two years related work experience.
  • Efficient in time management skills relating to daily work activities, tasks, and special assignments.
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of computer and office equipment to perform position tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written, demonstrating an awareness for human diversity to citizens and colleagues.
