Please be advised the South County Office will not provide fingerprinting services from Thursday, August 25 through Monday, August 29, 2016. Normal service will resume on Tuesday August 30, 2016.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office offers fingerprinting services at both the Sarasota County Jail and the Venice office. You must present valid photo identification and a fingerprint card (which should be provided by the agency requiring your fingerprints).

The cost for this service is $15 per person which must be made in cash. (No checks or money orders will be accepted.)
Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. -12:00 p.m. (noon) at the main jail, 2020 Main St. in downtown Sarasota. (Services are not provided on Holidays.)

As of December 1, 2005, any person who has been legally classified as a Sexual Predator or Sexual Offender must report in person twice a year (during the month of his/her birth month and in the 6th month thereafter) to the Sheriff’s Office in the county in which he or she resides. Failure to comply with this requirement is a 3rd degree felony. The hours for the Sexual Predator re-registration are from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2020 Main St, Sarasota.
