The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, working in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service, today arrested Oliver Locke, DOB 9/26/83, in California.
Locke has been on the run from his Gillespie Avenue home since February. After serving a two year prison sentence for a 2010 case involving nine counts of Credit Card Fraud, Locke was placed on community supervision but he violated probation.
Locke knew he was wanted and threatened to harm law enforcement if they tried to take him into custody. Sarasota deputies tracked him across the country and recently forwarded a lead to the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, who arrested him today in Huntington Beach. The State Attorney’s Office confirmed Locke will be extradited to Sarasota County.
This leaves one last fugitive on the Sarasota County 10 Most Wanted list released in March. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Darryl Lamar can contact Crime Stoppers by calling 941-366-TIPS (8477) or www.sarasotacrimestoppers.com.
