The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested the man wanted for stealing laptop computers from Walmart on Cattlemen Road.

Last week, the sheriff’s office released surveillance photos that show the suspect committing similar crimes on two different days and asked the public for assistance identifying him.

Detectives identified the suspect as Gregory Alfieri, DOB 9/30/65, who lists himself as homeless, and charged him with two counts of Grand Theft. This is his 11th arrest in Sarasota County over the past three years for crimes including cocaine possession, fraud, robbery and burglary.

Alfieri has been reclassified as a habitual offender and is being held on $40,000 bond. Manatee County Sheriff’s Office has also placed a hold on him to face charges for a similar crime in their jurisdiction.
