The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested Travis Scott King, DOB 4/22/84, 3209 Oak Grove Drive, Sarasota, for burglarizing his place of employment in the middle of the night.
A deputy on routine patrol around 4:00 a.m., noticed a suspicious vehicle behind Complete Aluminum on Barber Road and saw a male later identified as King walking along the fence line. When the deputy pulled up King ran to the truck and tried to leave. The deputy stopped King and found several pieces of scrap and aluminum window frames in the back of the truck, and a number of other pieces in the storage yard near the gate. An employee of the business responded to the scene, identified King and confirmed the stolen items belonged to the business.
King is charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Violation of Probation. His 2002 Toyota Tacoma truck was also seized for forfeiture since it was used in commission of a felony. This is King’s 25th arrest in Sarasota County for burglary-related charges going back to the age of 15.
