The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Evan Greer, DOB 11/16/94, 104 Villa Drive, Nokomis, and Alexander Hansen, DOB 01/21/91, 105 Van Dyck Drive, Nokomis, for burglary. Greer has also been charged with a string of other burglaries in the same area.
During the nighttime hours of June 7 to 8, 2012 three burglaries took place at I Care About Hair, 2 Sorento Drive, Nokomis, General Dentistry, 2181 S. Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, and Rosebuds, 2215 S. Tamiami Trail, Nokomis, each less than quarter of a mile from one another. In each case the suspect broke glass to gain entry to the businesses. Once inside the suspect caused damage to the inside of each location by knocking over computer monitors, dumping trash cans on the floor, scattering files, and ripping pictures from the walls. Evan Greer was later charged with three counts of Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure, for these instances.
On August 3, 2012 two suspects were captured on video during a second break-in to Rosebuds using a similar method of entry. On this occasion, a bank bag containing approximately $700 in cash was taken from the location. The two suspects were later identified from the video as Evan Greer, and Alexander Hansen, each has been charged with one count of Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure for this instance.
