Two Arrested for Bank Robbery

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has made two arrests in connection with the robbery of SunTrust Bank on Gantt Road on Monday.

Acting on an anonymous tip, detectives determined Matthew Marquez, DOB 8/16/81, 2058 17th Street, Sarasota, committed the crime and that Cara Ruhnke, DOB 8/18/83, of the same address, drove him to and from the scene.

Marquez is charged with Armed Robbery and Ruhnke is charged with Accessory to Armed Robbery.

Marquez is a suspect in two additional area robberies for which charges are pending.
