The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance to identify a man in connection with a robbery that took place at the Suntrust Bank 5727 Gantt Road.
On June 4, 2012 at approximately 2:15 p.m. a man entered the branch and brandished a knife demanding money from a teller. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen running south bound across Clark Road.
The man is described as a white male, 5’10” with thin, sandy cropped hair, and a tattoo with “blocked lettering” on his stomach. He was wearing blue jeans, a brown long sleeve t-shirt, camouflage baseball cap, a black bandana over his face, and black gloves. He was also carrying a nylon bag.
