The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, working in conjunction with the U.S. Marshal Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, has captured a Sarasota man wanted for arson for a fire at his apartment on Fruitville Road last year.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Andrew Honroth, DOB 10/4/88, for setting a fire in apartment 207 of the Presidential Apartments on the morning of June 14, 2011. Honroth initially claimed it was a grease fire but investigators determined the couch was intentionally set ablaze.
Deputies located Honroth this morning near 26th Street West and 53rd Avenue West in Bradenton at 9:00 a.m. today. He was transported to the Sarasota County Jail and booked on one count each of Arson and Criminal Mischief.
