The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, working in conjunction with the United States Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, has captured a violent man wanted for two crimes in Sarasota earlier this month.
Detectives obtained warrants for Travis Vizzini, DOB 10-10-80, 2709 West Yarmouth Drive, Bradenton, in connection with the attempted robbery at the Bank of America ATM in the 3400 block of Clark Road on April 7. Witnesses say he assaulted a 73-year-old man in an attempt to get the cash the victim had just withdrawn. Vizzini is also accused of taking money from a vehicle at a car wash on Nelson Avenue April 11.
Deputies tracked Vizzini to Seminole County where they took him into custody on Islander Court in Altamonte Springs just after 3:00 p.m., this afternoon.
Vizzini will be booked into the Seminole County Jail where he will await transfer to Sarasota County where he faces charges for Burglary and Attempted Robbery.
