The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, working with the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, has captured the suspect in a violent home invasion robbery that occurred November 1, 2011 in Sarasota.
On the morning of the attack, the male victim was hit in the head as he stepped outside his apartment. The attacker dragged him back inside while two other men followed. A female victim was pulled to the floor by her hair and a gun held to her head. During the incident the male victim was choked until he was nearly unconscious. The three suspects fled with the gun after ransacking the home.
After an extensive search, deputies located Usier Rosario, DOB 9/6/88, on Wednesday. When they breached the door at 1214 35th Avenue West in Bradenton, he was found hiding in a dryer. Rosario is charged with two counts of Home Invasion Robbery with a Firearm and one count of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
Another suspect, Anthony Lusson, was known by the victims and arrested shortly after the crime. He remains in jail on $150,000 bond. The third suspect has yet to be identified.
