The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man and a woman who drove to a Sarasota home to buy drugs with a two-year-old girl in the car.
Just before noon on Thursday, deputies spotted a car leaving a home associated with a history of drug related crimes and stopped the vehicle after recognizing the driver from previous dealings and realizing his license was not valid.
The driver, Kameron Orser, DOB 05/25/1990, 5190 Island Date St., Sarasota, said he went to the home to buy drugs and he injected them while at the house. He admitted to knowing his license was suspended yet still drove the car.
The woman in the car, Barbara Valdez, DOB 06/09/1965 (same address), said she knew her boyfriend was buying illegal drugs and knew his license was suspended yet allowed him to drive the vehicle.
Orser, who has been arrested 22 times, is charged with Child Abuse, Driving While License Suspended with Knowledge, and two counts of Violation of Probation. Valdez is charged with Child Abuse and Permitting an Unauthorized Person to Drive.
The child was released to an adult relative and deputies notified DCF.
