The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has arrested Robert Lee Lawson, Jr., DOB 11/24/82, 4027 Palau Drive, Sarasota, for a number of drug and weapons charges.

Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence yesterday after conducting eight undercover drug buys there over the past few months. Property seized included bags of Oyxcodone, marijuana and cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a handgun and ammunition.

Lawson is charged with eight counts of the Sale of Rock Cocaine, and one count each of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Cannabis, Possession of Rock Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and Trafficking in Oxycodone.

Lawson was booked into the Sarasota County Jail Thursday afternoon and is being held without bond on the trafficking charge and more than $50,000 on the remaining counts.
