Bank Robbery

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is searching for the man who robbed Synovus Bank, 4775 South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota this afternoon.

Witnesses say a man wearing a black ski mask and gray gloves entered the bank just before 4:00 p.m. He pointed a gun at the teller, demanded cash and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a very pale white male, early to mid-20s, 5’ 11” tall, wearing a dark blue long sleeve t-shirt, lighter blue cargo shorts and dark sneakers or shoes.
