Methamphetamine Trafficking Arrests

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people on methamphetamine trafficking charges.

Detectives launched their investigation Wednesday after receiving information that 43-year-old Sunny Torres of Nokomis may be involved in the sale of methamphetamine. Detectives conducted surveillance on Torres who met up with 40-year-old Christopher Frazier at his home located at 4623 Tri Par Drive in Sarasota. When Torres and Frazier left the apartment, detectives conducted a traffic stop where they recovered nearly 28 grams of methamphetamine, a trafficking amount.

Torres, DOB 03/17/75, is currently on probation through the Florida Department of Corrections and as part of her requirements, not allowed to leave Pinellas County. Prior to her arrest, Torres was living at 100 N. Pearl Avenue. Detectives charged her with a single count of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and she is being held without bond.

Frazier, DOB 09/01/78, is also charged with a single count of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and is being held on $30,000 bond.
