The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Ronald Franklin Gill, DOB 03/11/72, has registered as a sexual offender living in Sarasota.
Gill pled no contest in 2012 to two counts of Possession of a Photograph Depicting Sexual Performance by a Child and was sentenced to 5 years of probation. He was arrested on September 4, 2018 in Lee County for Battery and Obstruction. He is currently out on bond and reports he is living at 2233 Gondola Drive in Sarasota. Gill is no longer under the supervision of the Department of Corrections and because he was arrested prior to October 1, 2004, residency restrictions do not apply.
This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following a release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
