Sheriff Tom Knight is pleased to announce that Property and Evidence Manager Lisa Lanham graduated Sarasota County Government's Academy of Leadership Excellence (ALE) program.

The ALE program offers participants a series of classes over the course of a year which helps develop key leadership skills through a combination of group learning events and self-study options. The program fosters career development, networking, and skill-building, further preparing employers for the promotional process as well as succession planning. Lisa Lanham, who was recently recognized for 20 years of service at the sheriff's office, was hand-selected to attend the program.

"We are very proud of Lisa as she continues to reach both her personal and professional goals," said Colonel Kurt A. Hoffman. "With 20 years of experience at our agency and even more time in the law enforcement field, Lisa has proven herself as an asset to our team. Leadership programs like ALE enhance the quality of our workforce by encouraging and challenging our members to look for new and more effective ways to manage their work and as a result, better serve their community."
