According to investigators at both the Sarasota County and Charlotte County sheriff’s offices, the card used during the transaction was stolen during a vehicle burglary on July 28. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Englewood Sports Complex, 1300 S. Using a GPS tracking application, one of the iPhones was recovered in North Port, but the other missing items have yet to be found. Detectives confirmed the credit card used in the Englewood Bank transactions was stolen from one of the vehicles.
