James O'Bryhim

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that James Allen O'Bryhim, DOB 03/24/63, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.

O'Bryhim was convicted of Indecent Exposure in South Carolina in 1981. Following his release, he was again convicted on two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Assault on a Child Under 16 in 1996 in Brevard County, and sentenced to nine years in prison. O'Bryhim just moved to Sarasota County and reports that he is living at the Myakka State Park, RV Section 13208, in Sarasota. He is not currently under the supervision of the Department of Corrections and because he was convicted prior to 2004, residency restrictions do not apply.

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office website, agency Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts to publicly notify citizens of sexual offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offenders and predator registrations.
