The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is advising the public that Tyler Paul Schwartzkopf, DOB 06/18/70, has registered as a Sexual Offender living in Sarasota County.

Schwartzkopf was convicted of Sexual Contact without Consent in Colorado in 2009. He has a history of Armed Robbery, Assault and Battery. He was just released from prison and reports he will live at 5162 Escalante Drive in North Port. Schwartzkopf is not on probation and according to state law, residency restrictions do not apply to out-of-state offenders convicted prior to May 26, 2010.

This information is posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office web site, agency Facebook page and Twitter account to publicly notify citizens of sex offenders and predators who register a Sarasota County address for the first time, when moving into the county or following release from prison. Citizens should still sign up to receive notifications from FDLE of sex offender and predator registrations.
