Deputies Arrest Woman Passed Out Behind the Wheel

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a prolific offender on Saturday after she was discovered passed out behind the wheel of a running car, with a lit cigarette in her mouth.

Deputies responded to a gas station in the 1200 block of N. Tamiami Trail in Nokomis, after a store employee reported the suspect passed out in the parking lot. When deputies woke Sabrina Miller, DOB 12/4/87, she told them she had spent all day at the beach and had pulled into the store to get something to drink. Miller consented to a search of her vehicle where deputies discovered Alprazolam, Hydromorphine, a syringe and burnt spoon with drug residue.

Miller, of 207 Pompano Lane, Nokomis, is charged with Driving Under the Influence, two counts of Drug Possession without a Prescription, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She remains in custody at the Sarasota County Jail on $2,000 bond. Her extensive arrest history includes Dealing in Stolen Property, Fraud, Sale of Synthetic Narcotics and more.
