Methamphetamine Trafficking Arrest

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a prolific offender after discovering more than 77 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop early Monday morning in Sarasota.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Darryl Hall, DOB 6/16/85, in the 6000 block of N. Tamiami Trail, just after 1:00 a.m.. As deputies approached his car, they noticed the distinct smell of burnt marijuana. Hall consented to a search of his vehicle which led deputies to the discovery of 77.4 grams of methamphetamine packaged in the back seat.

Hall, of 1514 14th Avenue East, Bradenton, is charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine More than 14 Grams and Driving With a Suspended License by a Habitual Traffic Offender. He is currently being held at the Sarasota County Jail on $101,500 bond. Hall's extensive criminal history in Sarasota County includes Armed Robbery, Sale of Cocaine and Battery.
