Sarasota Man Arrested for Voyeurism

                                                                                                                NEWS RELEASE #: 16-222 - DECEMBER 6, 2016

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested a man after surveillance video captured him looking up women's skirts at a Sarasota Walmart.

The victim first contacted the sheriff's office on October 29 to report that the suspect had attempted to look up her skirt on two separate occasions while she was shopping at the Cattlemen Road location. Detectives obtained surveillance video from the store that confirmed the victim's report and showed the suspect victimizing several other women by kneeling down and looking up their skirts. Credit card information obtained from store transactions was used by detectives to identify 62-year-old Alan Ralph of Sarasota. Ralph was arrested Monday afternoon without incident.

Ralph, DOB 12/22/54, is charged with three counts of Voyeurism and is currently being held without bond. Detectives believe there are more victims and are asking anyone with information to contact the Criminal Investigations Section at 941.861.4317. The investigation is ongoing.

Video surveillance of the incidents can be viewed on the sheriff's office YouTube channel at YouTube.com/SarasotaSheriff.
