The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested the man suspected of robbing employees of the Papa John's on South Tuttle Avenue at knifepoint Sunday night.
Witnesses described the suspect as a tall, thin white male in his 40s with sunken cheeks and tan skin, dressed in a blue/green shirt, hat and sunglasses. During a perimeter search deputies found the suspect's bicycle, items of clothing and knife. At the time, deputies located a man matching the description of the suspect who was running without a shirt or shoes. Scott Sebor, DOB 10/5/69, 1500 Russell Avenue, Sarasota, said he was out for a run and claimed he was barefoot because he was a Florida boy. At the time, one of the witnesses could not identify Sebor as the suspect so he was released. Detectives later interviewed other employees who had close contact with the suspect and they identified Sebor in photo lineups. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Sebor and he turned himself in to the Sarasota County Jail last night.
Sebor is charged with Armed Robbery, his 13th arrest for crimes including Aggravated Stalking, Trafficking in Cocaine and multiple drug possession charges.
