Court Services Deputy

Duties

The Court Services Deputy will be responsible for a variety of duties that include but not limited to, maintaining order in the courtroom, escorting inmates to and from the correctional facility, serving the requests of the judge, searching inmates and/or visitors, conduct pre-courtroom preparation, monitor all activities within the courtroom, direct and supervise the jury pool, patrol the courthouse holding facility, check alarms, inspect transport vehicles, review docket and inmate records, oversee security area checkpoints, and perform varied law enforcement duties when necessary.

Starting Salary

 $40,000.00

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Must be Florida Law Enforcement Certified.

• Demonstrate ability to express ideas and effectively communicate information/give direction or commands, including use of radio, and has the ability to process verbal/written information, physical cues and body language in order to effectively listen and interpret.

• Knowledge of the court system in terms of procedures, requirements, regulations, and other matters.

• Knowledge of local state, and federal statutes.
