Helicopter Pilot
Duties
The Sarasota County
Sheriff’s Office operates a Bell 407 and Beech Baron. The Sarasota
County Sheriff’s Office provides complete law enforcement services, as
well as fire suppression capabilities. Pilots of above aircraft need to
be Law Enforcement certified.
Starting Salary
$56,522.00
- $70,111.00
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Applicants
must meet the following minimum aviation experience:

Commercial Helicopter Certificate
-
1000 Hours Total Time (Helicopter)
-
500 Hours Turbine
-
Class III Flight Physical (or ability
to obtain)
Preferred applicants will possess the following aviation experience:
-
Commercial Helicopter Certificate
(w/Instrument Rating)
-
1500 Hours Total Time (Helicopter)
-
Bell 407 Factory School and/or
Experience
-
Night Vision Goggle Experience
-
Law Enforcement Experience (Florida
Certification a Plus)
-
Commercial Airplane Certificate
(w/Multi Engine and Instrument Rating)
-
Class II Flight Physical (or ability
to obtain)
