Background Investigator (Civilian)
Duties
Responsible for conducting a thorough and intensive review on all
applicants being considered for employment. This work involves
extensive responsibility for utilizing independent judgment and
individual initiative in the interpretation of orders, policies,
procedures, rules, regulations and mandates. Job responsibilities
include notification, reporting, documentation, evaluation, comparison
interpretation, consultation, interviewing and research.
Starting Salary
$31,836.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Proficient in the
use of computer and office equipment required to perform the
position tasks.

Efficient in time
management skills relating to daily work activities, tasks, and
special assignments.

Ability to obtain
the desired pertinent information from individuals through verbal
questioning and discussion without violating individual’s rights and
maintain compliance with the law and agency policies.

Ability to
effectively communicate, verbal and written, demonstrating the
ability to convey information, instructions and directives in a
clear, concise & intelligible manner and demonstrate an awareness
for human diversity.

Associate’s Degree
or equivalent.
-
1-2 years related
experience.
