Accreditation

The Public Safety Communications Center (PSC) has attained national accreditation status from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).  We are among seven communications centers in Florida and fifty-five centers nationwide that are CALEA accredited.

The PSC was awarded Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Accreditation status in 2004 by the National Academy of Emergency Dispatch.

We are among ten centers in Florida and eighty-four centers nationwide that are EMD accredited. 

On January 12, 2004 we became the first communications center nationwide to be both CALEA and EMD accredited.
