Operations Bureau
The Operations Bureau is
responsible for the day to day operations of the facility which
consists of 3 wings, the West, East and North Wings. The West Wing
provides for all intakes and releases from the facility. It is also
where female inmates and all pre class inmates are housed.
The East Wing provides linear style housing for sentenced,
pre-trail and Federal male inmates, including Administrative, Punitive
and Special Management inmates. The North Wing provides direct
supervision style housing for inmates that meet the required criteria
for such housing. Deputies there require specialized training in order
to be assigned to these pods.
Other areas within the Operations Bureau are the Training and
Professional Standards departments.
The fourteen departments which work to support the operations of the
jail make up the Corrections Services Bureau. These departments are:
AFIS, Booking, Classification, Commissary, Food Services, Front Desk,
Inmate Programs, Maintenance, Medical Services, Property,
Receiving/Laundry, Road Gang, South County Jail and Transportation.
Each department plays a significant roll in the daily management of the
jail.
