LSD
If you notice a person has passed out,
get medical attention immediately, call 911, or they may die!
LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) is a potent
hallucinogenic derived from lysergic acid. The effects of LSD are wildly
unpredictable. The user will begin to feel the effects 30-90 minutes from
ingestion and the high may last 12 hours or more. Users will display dilated
pupils, increased body temperature, increased heart and blood pressure
rates, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, dry mouth, tremors, and increased
perspiration. A bad trip could include terrifying thoughts and feelings, a
fear of losing control, fear of insanity and death.
The long term effects of LSD include lasting psychological problems,
including terrifying flashbacks, schizophrenia, and severe depression.
Chronic users may develop a tolerance and need more to feel the same effect.
Please know that: Law Enforcement does not monitor emergency rooms and hospitals are not required to report drug overdoses to Law Enforcement.
